This Pristine allergy protective cover uses a sophisticated weaving process to create a performance fabric that has been lab tested to prevent dust mite allergies and help treat bed bugs. The fabric is densely woven. With an average pore size of less than 3 microns, (space between the threads), it's small enough to prevent the passage of dust mites, dust and allergy causing particles yet still retain the “breathability” which one will not get with laminated allergy fabrics. Laminated fabrics will deteriorate over time in the wash and are less desirable for their lack of “breathability” and are more like vinyl mattress covers.

The fabric is a sturdy 4 oz per square yard and has  272 threads per square inch. It is made from 100% texturized polyester in both the warp and fill. The product is made here in the USA and is backed by a lifetime warranty.
